Pegasus Spyware vs Antti Pelttari

I found it quite an irony to read that Antti Pelttari, director of the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (SUPO) had to deal with a spree of phone hacking. It is written that Finnish diplomats fell victim to the Pegasus Spyware. A spyware/malware which has the ability to effect Apple or Android telephones. Using this kind of spyware or similar, allows hackers to access microphones, camera, content and location without the victim even knowing. According to a statement from Mr. Pelttari it is speculated that

‘“a state actor of some sort” was likely behind the hack”

Taking in to consideration that Pegasus Spyware is a military grade spyware and there are commercially available options to monitor which pretty much have the same abilities exist in a military. It only leaves you to wonder, what other options of similar type of software’s are available on the Dark Net.

It seems myself and Antti Pelttari have had the same phone issues. The sad thing about my invasion of digital privacy by a citizen of Finland, is that it’s been going on a lot longer than the incident Mr. Pelttari has gone through. Then again, he does have the whole of the Finnish Security and Intelligence Services on his side and it seems they still can’t protect their VIP’s.

If you haven’t changed your password i-cloud for a few months, it’s the place to start to begin securing your phone. People maybe not be able to get physical access to your phone.
